Fiancée and Alleged Lover Arrested in Pune Murder Case, Wedding Plans End in Tragedy
Pune, June 24: A sensational murder case from Pune has shocked the nation after police alleged that a young woman and her alleged lover conspired to kill her fiancé just months before their wedding.
According to investigators, 26-year-old businessman Ketan Agarwal died after falling into a gorge near Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra. Initially believed to be a tragic accident during a trek, the case took a dramatic turn when police uncovered evidence suggesting it was a pre-planned murder.
Police claim that Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, were involved in a relationship and considered Ketan an obstacle to their future together. Investigators allege that the duo lured Ketan to Lohagad Fort and pushed him into a deep gorge, attempting to pass the incident off as an accidental fall.
The investigation gained momentum after authorities examined CCTV footage, mobile phone location records, and inconsistencies in statements provided by the accused. Police also suspect that multiple attempts may have been made to harm Ketan before the fatal incident.
Following the discovery of the alleged conspiracy, both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were arrested. A local court has remanded them to police custody while investigators continue gathering evidence and questioning witnesses.
The case has attracted widespread attention due to the shocking nature of the allegations and reports that Ketan and Siya were scheduled to marry later this year. The investigation remains ongoing, and the accused will have the opportunity to present their defense in court as legal proceedings move forward.
