Akal Takht Objects to Guru Granth Sahib Act, Seeks Amendments Within 15 Days
The Akal Takht has raised strong objections to certain provisions of the Punjab government’s proposed Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026, stating that some clauses are not in line with Sikh religious traditions and established maryada.
