‘Lok Milni’ Programmes Strengthen Direct Connect Between Government and People: Dalvir Singh Dhillon

Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon, interacted with residents during a ‘Lok Milni’ programme organised at village Rangian, where he heard their grievances, demands and suggestions. Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to responsive governance, he said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the State Government is dedicated to delivering transparent, accountable and people-centric administration while ensuring the prompt resolution of every genuine public grievance.
Addressing the gathering, Dhillon said that the ‘Lok Milni’ initiative has emerged as an effective platform for fostering direct communication between the Government and the public. The programme enables citizens to present their concerns directly before public representatives and the administration, thereby reducing the need for repeated visits to government offices and ensuring quicker redressal of issues.
He further stated that the Punjab Government is implementing development projects across every village in the constituency with renewed vigour. New development initiatives are also being undertaken in line with local requirements to strengthen civic infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents.
Emphasising responsive governance, Dhillon instructed the officials present to address every genuine issue raised by the public promptly and strictly in accordance with established rules and procedures. He said that the Government’s objective is not only to resolve grievances efficiently but also to provide a transparent, accessible and citizen-friendly administrative system that earns the trust of the people.
Among those present on the occasion were Harjinder Singh Kanjhla, Zila Parishad Member; Amritpal Singh, Sarpanch of village Rangian; Boota Singh Sultanpur, Block President; members of the Gram Panchayat, party leaders, officials from various government departments, and a large number of local residents.
