Sunam Gears Up for Mega Job Fair on July 20
Sangrur, July 8:
Preparations are in full swing for the Mega Job Fair being organised on July 20 at Maharaja Palace, Sunam under the leadership of Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ankur Mahindru today reviewed the arrangements during a meeting with officers of various departments.
Chairing the review meeting, the ADC directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Mega Job Fair. He instructed the officers to complete all necessary arrangements well in advance and discharge their assigned responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
Ankur Mahindru further directed the officials to immediately establish contact with all government and private colleges, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), polytechnic institutes and other educational institutions across the district to ensure maximum awareness among students and job seekers. He said every possible effort should be made to encourage maximum participation of eligible youth so that they can benefit from the employment opportunities available at the Mega Job Fair.
He said the Mega Job Fair would serve as an excellent platform for the youth of Sangrur, Barnala and Malerkotla districts to secure employment with reputed companies under one roof. He urged eligible candidates to participate in large numbers and make the best use of this opportunity.
District Employment and Business Bureau Officer Simpi Singla informed that around 60 leading companies from diverse sectors would participate in the Mega Job Fair and offer recruitment against nearly 3,000 vacancies. She said the participating companies would conduct on-the-spot interviews, enabling eligible youth from Sangrur, Barnala and Malerkotla districts to explore a wide range of employment opportunities.
She appealed to all aspiring candidates to attend the Mega Job Fair with their resumes, educational certificates and other relevant documents to avail themselves of the employment opportunities being offered.
