Patiala, July 17:

Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign being conducted by the Election Commission of India, special camps will be organised at all polling booths across Patiala district on July 19 (Sunday). Sharing this information, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Patiala, Dr Himanshu Aggarwal, said that the camps will remain open from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. He further informed that, in addition to the camps at polling booths, similar camps will also be set up at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and all SDM offices to facilitate voters.

Dr Himanshu Aggarwal said that, as per the directions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, these special camps are being organised for the convenience of those voters who have not yet submitted their Enumeration Forms for any reason. He appealed to all eligible voters to avail themselves of this opportunity by visiting their nearest polling booth, filling out the Enumeration Form, and submitting it along with the required documents.

The District Election Officer further stated that the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) who have already completed 100% digitisation will coordinate with the Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to verify documents and resolve deficiencies, while the remaining BLOs will ensure both the collection and digitisation of the Enumeration Forms.

Dr Aggarwal added that all recognised political parties have also been requested to encourage the maximum number of eligible voters to participate in this process. He said that the district administration will personally monitor the special camps and ensure that the entire process is completed in a timely and smooth manner.
