Online Applications Invited for New Ration Cards and Addition of Members to Existing Ration Cards: Dr Ravinder Kaur

District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Patiala Dr Ravinder Kaur informed that, in accordance with the announcement made by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the decision of the State Government, online applications are being invited for issuance of new Ration Cards and addition of members to existing Ration Cards under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013 / Smart Ration Card Scheme.
She said that the objective of this initiative is to ensure that all eligible families/beneficiaries are included through a transparent, fair, and technology-driven process. The application forms for issuance of new Ration Cards or addition of members to existing Ration Cards are available in English and Punjabi and can be downloaded from the Department’s website at http://foodsuppb.gov.in. Applicants are advised to carefully read the instructions provided with the application form before filling it and to submit the completed application along with all the required supporting documents. Applicants may submit their applications online by visiting their nearest Sewa Kendra / Common Service Centre (CSC). Upon successful submission of the application through a Sewa Kendra/CSC, the applicant shall be required to pay a processing fee of Rs. 100 per application, added DFSC.
Dr Ravinder Kaur said that alternatively, applicants may submit their applications online themselves through the https://ercms.punjab.gov.in portal. No fee shall be charged for applications submitted directly by the applicant through the online portal. Applicants may also submit the duly filled application form, along with the required documents and a fee of Rs. 100 per application, at the office of the District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Patiala (Room no. 417, Block A, Mini Sect., Patiala). Upon successful online submission of the application, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement message on the registered mobile number along with a receipt number.
DFSC further said that applications will be accepted only from 22.07.2026 to 11.08.2026. Applicants may submit their applications on any working day between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM through online mode at the designated Sewa Kendras/ Common Service Centres (CSCs) or through physical mode in the office of District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Patiala.
