Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to responsive and people-centric governance, Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon, today held a ‘Lok Milni’ programme at village Ballamgarh, where he interacted with residents and listened to their grievances, demands and suggestions.
During the programme, Dalvir Singh Dhillon patiently heard the issues raised by the people and directed the concerned officials to ensure the prompt and time-bound disposal of all genuine grievances on a priority basis. He also instructed that matters requiring intervention at higher administrative levels be immediately referred to the respective departments for early resolution.
Addressing the gathering, Dalvir Singh Dhillon said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is working tirelessly to strengthen transparent, accountable and citizen-centric governance. He said that the ‘Lok Milni’ initiative has emerged as an effective platform for direct interaction between the Government and the people, enabling citizens to get their grievances resolved without the inconvenience of making repeated visits to government offices.
He further stated that the Government is committed to ensuring that every eligible beneficiary receives the benefits of welfare schemes in a transparent, fair and time-bound manner. He urged the people to actively avail themselves of various public welfare initiatives and assured them that every genuine issue would receive due attention from the Government.
Highlighting the ongoing development initiatives in the Dhuri Assembly constituency, Mr. Dhillon said that development works are progressing at a rapid pace across both urban and rural areas. Significant improvements are being made in sectors such as education, healthcare, drinking water supply, road infrastructure, sewerage and other essential public services with the objective of improving the quality of life of the people.
