Chairman Mehta Visits Kali Mata Temple Again Inspects Ongoing Reconstruction Works at the Temple
Patiala: Chairman of the District Planning Committee Tejinder Mehta on Saturday once again visited the historic Shri Kali Devi Mata Temple, where he paid obeisance and offered prayers for the progress, prosperity, peace and well-being of Patiala city. Thereafter, he inspected the ongoing reconstruction and beautification works at the temple. On the occasion, Chairman of the Teerth Yatra Committee Kamal Bansal, Senior Vice Chairman of the Punjab State Industrial Development Board Praveen Chhabra (Rajpura), and Kali Mata Temple Management Committee members Ajay Alipuria and Sanjay Goyal were specially present. Representatives of various religious and social organisations of the city were also present. Chairman Mehta reviewed the progress of the construction works, held detailed discussions with the concerned officials and issued necessary directions to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated time while maintaining high quality standards.
Chairman Tejinder Mehta said that under the visionary leadership of Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working for the development of religious, historical and heritage sites across the state. He said that Shri Kali Devi Mata Temple is a major centre of faith for lakhs of devotees and that the completion of the reconstruction works will provide improved facilities to the visiting devotees. He added that the government is committed to preserving the heritage of religious places while ensuring modern amenities.
Chairman Mehta also interacted with representatives of various social organisations and sought their suggestions regarding the temple’s development works. He said that such public welfare projects can be completed more effectively through the collective efforts of the government and social organisations.
