Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University celebrates National Sports Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm
Patiala, August 29:
National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm today at The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University, Patiala. The event was held under the overall leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pushpinder Singh Gill, along with Director Sports Dr. Amarpreet Singh and Principal of the college, Dr. Harmanpreet Kaur.
MLA Gurlal Ghanour graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Ms. Rupa Saini was present as the Guest of Honour.
The celebrations began with the flagging-off of a marathon/country run from Professor Gursewak Singh Government College of Physical Education, Patiala, which proceeded towards the university campus of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University (MBSPSU). Students from the college enthusiastically participated in the run. NCC cadets welcomed the runners on their arrival.
Winners from both the college and the university were felicitated on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest MLA Gurlal Ghanour delivered inspiring words for the sportspersons, motivating them to strive for excellence. Refreshments were arranged for all participants at the conclusion of the event.
Faculty members, both teaching and non-teaching, along with students, actively participated in the celebrations, making the event a resounding success.
