ISRO Ready for EOS-05 Launch; New Satellite to Strengthen Earth Observation
The Indian Space Research Organisation is preparing to launch EOS-05, an advanced Earth-observation satellite, aboard the GSLV-F17 rocket from Sriharikota. The launch is scheduled for September 4 at 2:55 am.
The satellite is expected to enhance India’s ability to monitor large geographical areas. Reports indicate that its planned geosynchronous positioning will allow continuous observation of selected regions, offering applications related to national security, environmental monitoring and disaster management.
The mission marks another important step in India’s growing satellite and space capabilities.
